Clan MacLellan can trace its family heritage to The MacLellans' of Bombie in Southern Scotland.

The family seat is a royal Scottish burgh of Kirkcubright in the County of Dumfries and Galloway.

Sadly the Clan is without chief, with the last claiming direct lineage in the early to mid 1800's.

With the Scottish dispora Clan MacLellan has settled all around the world with a large preportion in the the North Americas, and a smaller grouping in Australasia and a scattering across Europe.
